8th June - SUMMER OUTING TO SKYE
Members and friends set off in drab conditions on 8th June to Skye on our Annual Outing. By the time we arrived at the Carron Restaurant and Pottery for morning coffee the sun was shining brightly and the West looking at its magnificent best. Onward we travelled to Clan Donald Centre near Armadale and lunch. Members then embarked on a leisurely stroll through parts of the 40 acre formal gardens admiring the vast variety of trees shrubs and plants. Photographers among the party were camera happy! Following the inevitable visit to the Garden shop with many purchases tucked away on the coach we set off in "Party Mood" to the Cluanie Inn for an excellent high tea.
The day was declared a resounding success and Jean Southon gave a vote of thanks to our friendly Frasers Coach Driver Davy and to President Miriam Morley for her organizational skills. A wonderful conclusion to a successful year.
