North Kessock Scottish Women's Rural Institute

North Kessock S.W.R.I. or "the Rural" meets in North Kessock  Primary School at 7.30pm on the second Tuesday of  the month from September to April.    The Annual General Meeting is held in May, and the Annual Outing/Bus Trip in June.   A Christmas Meal/Party is held in December, usually in a hotel in, or around Inverness.     At each meeting there is an opportunity to enter a competition for, say, a handicraft, or other item (see programme below), and to bring along a "Flower of the Month".    Both of these competitions are well supported, and enjoyed by everyone.      At every meeting there is a raffle to raise funds.   In February or March the W.R.I. usually arranges a block booking, and transport to go to Inverness Opera Society's annual show held at Eden Court.      The Institute continues to grow, and  all visitors and new members will be made very welcome.
