North Kessock Scottish Women's Rural InstituteNorth Kessock S.W.R.I. or "the Rural" meets in North Kessock Community Centre (North Kessock Primary School) at 7.30pm on the second Tuesday of every month from September to April. The Annual General Meeting is held in May, and the Annual Outing/Bus Trip in June. A Christmas Meal/Party is held in December, usually in a hotel in, or around Inverness. At each meeting there is an opportunity to enter a competition for, say, a handicraft, or other item (see programme below), and to bring along a "Flower of the Month". Both of these competitions are well supported, and enjoyed by everyone. At every meeting there is a raffle to raise funds. In February the W.R.I. usually arranges a block booking, and transport to go to Inverness Opera Society's annual show held at Eden Court. At present, there are about 40 members in North Kessock W.R.I. Visitors, and new members will be made very welcome.
The new Committee and Programme for 2008/2009 will appear soon.
The new programme starts on Tuesday 9th September 2008, when we look forward to welcoming members old and new.
